Well, where have we been for the last week? We have been visiting "nana" and "papa" Unck in Omaha! We began our trip last Saturday, and came home a week later. Our kids were perfect angels in the airport, and on the airplane for both 9 hour trips back, and forth between Nashville and Omaha. They slept both ways in the airplane, and kept themselves entertained with the seat pocket magazines.
Ummmm, just kidding!! If only that were true. No, but really, they both did quite well, considering we flew to Chicago, and then three hours later got back on the airplane, each way. They really did sleep quite well, and kept entertained with our special airplane bag. I only pull this bag out for trips (which ends up being quite often . . . ) it is full of new books, small play-doh and toys, dvd player, and new dvds. They love it. Natalie is now at the age where she is a little easier to entertain on the actual airplane. And, as always, it is very helpful to have Bryce along while we fly. All in all is was a great trip. We got to see our brother and sister in law, and new baby cousin. I have lots of cute pictures, but unfortunately Bryce left town with the camera still in his bag this morning, so I will post them in a couple of days!
I also discovered that I'm so glad we lived in Omaha for almost two years before moving here. It is so nice having friends there to see, and knowing how to get around everywhere. We know what there is to do, who to see, and how to keep busy! It helps because both my father and mother-in-law work full time, and generally we are there because Bryce has work stuff - so our days need filling up! But, by the afternoon we get to hang out with the family, so really it is the best of both worlds.
In the mean time, check out this great coupon blog I found. I think the author is from somewhere in the south, because we have many of the stores she talks about here . . . but there are still lots of tips, especially for today's dragging economy! She also has many other links that may be helpful to you as well. Go here to check it out!

I was so glad you were here. I miss you already. We didn't even do anything super exciting together, but I had so much fun with you. Can't wait until you come back in December. I love your Publix coupon site :).
