This is a two-in-one post. First off, I'm pleased to announce the 'launch' (if you will) of my friend Tasha Allen and I's new recipe blog, called "Yummables!" Thanks to Tasha for the fabulous name~I was having no luck in the creativity department. We have been wanting to set this up for a while, seeing as we both love to swap and share recipes. We also just wanted a place to put them all other than our own personal blogs, and most importantly share then with you all . . . So, all that being said, we will do our best to post some of our favorite recipes as often as we can. There will be a mixture of main dishes, various desserts, brunch foods, and the like. Let us know what you think, and enjoy!
The first recipe published on there is what part II of this post is all about! Tasha makes these excellent peanut butter banana cookies, of which our family was able to try on Friday evening. They are a peanut butter type cookie, with a banana-like frosting on top. After a dinner of sloppy joes on Friday, I let each Tyler and Natalie have a cookie. Upon the first bite, Tyler sniffed very loudly and yelled, "it has bananas!". I have never made a cookie with bananas, of course, so he loved it. He then ate a bite, and turned around to talk to Bryce, and take a drink of milk. In the meantime, Natalie had discovered the frosting and licked almost all the banana topping off the top. After looking over at her brothers cookie, and seeing that he was distracted, she very quickly grabbed his cookie, and replaced it for hers, never saying a word or letting him in on the secret. Bryce and I observed to entire encounter, and busted up laughing. Natalie thought she was pretty funny, and Tyler still has no idea what happened. We just let it going, seeing as he probably taught her this in the first place!

Enjoy!
