First trip to the Dentist

Tyler went to the dentist for the first time yesterday. I wasn't sure how it would go, especially since I didn't get to take him with me or Bryce for one of our visit, like I planned too. Tyler does best if you explain new situations to him before hand. I usually do it just a little bit before, when I have his full attention. He processes the info, and then meticulously asks questions, if he has any. So, I felt he was well prepared. I also had Miss Natalie in tow, and that can be downright scary sometimes.

Well, we got there and they both did fabulous! Tyler loved our hygienist (I do too!) and Natalie sat on my lap next to Tyler the whole time just praying that she wasn't next. I think she didn't move for 1/2 an hour, due to sheer terror.

Tyler got all his teeth cleaned and checked with no problem. That was way more than I expected to get done. I'm sure the chocolate flavored toothpaste helped, as well as the fact that he uses an electric toothbrush and home, so he was familiar with the buzzing on his teeth.

In other news I have been having a great time lately having 'girls' nights with some of my friends. With Bryce traveling a few days a week, some of my nights are a little boring. So, girls movie night was initiated. This includes chick food like smoothies, pita bread and hummus, all things chocolate, and other goodies that our husbands don't like, but we love. It works out well, as one of my girlfriends has a husband in school, and this leaves him free to study with out distractions. I highly recommend girls' night to all of you! We usually begin at 8:30, after all kids are in bed. Sometimes the movie makes it into the dvd player, and sometimes it never does. We are currently watching this major chick flick 'comedy':
